Tired and drained after a long tour, Frank and Gerard decided
they needed some quality time alone together. Booking the first vacancy
in a balconied room they could find, they took themselves off to
Paris for a weeks break from everything.
After they arrived and booked in, they nestled close together on
the king sized, canopy bed, and settled back to watch some movies,
pigging out on the complimentary chocolates that came in the suite.
Spending their days holding hands and taking in the sights, they
explored Paris in traditional tourist ways, riding on the Seine, visiting
the Arc de Triomphe and Eiffle tower, wandering around Notre Dame cathederal,
thoroughly enjoying themselves.
Until the evening of the third day, when all hell broke loose outside
the hotel. One of the gossip papers had found them, and the paperazzi were
camped outside the hotel in force. Frank, feeling pissed off that their brief
freedom was over, had a wicked idea.
Calling room service, he made an unusual request, but one the hotel was
pleased to fulfill. When the waiter delivered his order, he and Gerard spent
a quiet fifteen minutes in the bathroom.
Coming out, and grinning evilly at one another, they went to the balcony,
and, with fake voices, they called "Look out below!" Before launching their
roomservice order off the balcony, onto the paperazzi below, and showering
them with cold filled water balloons. The resultant shouts of outrage failing
to completely mask the hysterical laughter coming from the third floor balcony.
Gerard and Frank had to give up the rest of their week away as they couldn't
leave the hotel, but the revenge they'd had on the journalists was more than
entertainment enough to make the sacrifice worthwhile.
THE END.
