The Magical World Of Narflugal, Part 5.

BOB and Diamonda. Along with the male Buttercorn, flew off, back across the oceans and seas, back over the hills and vales, the mountains and valleys, until they reached the home of Mikey, three days after the others reached him. As they descended into the lush grassy flat of the back lawn, the rest of the Court was getting ready to return to Narflugal, just as soon as Mikey had gathered his most trusted friends to help in the battle to save Narflugal from the destruction that now beset it.

As the new arrivals rested and fed, the rest of the Court brought them up to date on what had been happening while they were gone. The meeting with the King, the arrival of the Angel Carissimi, the display of Carissimi’s wings to prove herself an Angel, the conversations between the Court, the Angel and the King and his fiancé. The fiancé, unhappy at the thought of her man going into battle on a strange world, had left, taking her son with her.

Days passed, and the King, Mikey, was hard pressed to make any of his friends believe in the seemingly ridiculous tale of a Kingdom on another planet that Mikey was the King of. Insanity it would seem, up until, gathering them all at his home, he had them all come into the back yard, where the Court of Narflugal, and the Angel, Carissimi, were all assembled, ready and willing to provide such evidence as they could.

The Squirricorn’s led the way, sitting on the shoulder of each person in turn, talking to them inside their own head, then came BOB with his wings and finally Carissimi with her glorious sunset wings coming out onto display, seemingly from nowhere. The tameness of the Buttercorns, sitting on the hands of the gathering, the very presence of the Unigals, finally convinced, the friends agreed that they would help in the plight of the mysterious land of Narflugal. Decision made, they would leave in three days, to give the men a chance to settle their affairs for a possibly prolonged absence.
